Smartphone applications are a relatively recent development, really only coming into their own within the past 5 years. After all, the iTunes App Store opened up in July 2008, so it’s only been three years since mobile applications really started heating up and become the cornerstone of mobile phones. But the three short years of mobile applications has already transformed the landscape for doing business remotely. A lot of professionals have come to depend on their mobile phones to track finances, create budgets and even manage their employees.
That’s why I’ve put together a list of the best four finance applications for iPhone. These are the best applications that I’ve used ever since I started using the iPhone App Store in July of 2008 and these applications are guaranteed to help improve your money management.
1. ProOnGo Expense
ProOnGo Expense is an expense tracking app that attempts to remove all manual entry from the expense reporting process. With ProOnGo, you can scan your receipts with your iPhone and it will automatically translate the receipt’s data to create an expense for you. You can also record your mileage and time expenses, as well as download time expenses. When it’s time to create your expense report, you can export the expenses as an Excel expense report, CSV, XML or you can sync with QuickBooks Pro or QuickBooks Online.

2. Bloomberg
Bloomberg for iPhone is the most comprehensive application for checking your stocks anywhere in the world. With this application you can view the latest news from their amazing business news website, get the latest stock quotes from your portfolio and access publicly available research on companies so you can make wise decisions for your next investment. Bloomberg will even notify you with updates to your favorite stocks.
3. Chase Mobile
Chase Mobile Banking is an excellent application if you have a Chase account. The application let’s you view all of your bank accounts with Chase, view past and pending transactions, transfer money from different accounts, cash checks with your camera phone and find ATMs wherever you are. The best feature, in my opinion, is the ability to cash checks with your phone. All you have to do is take a picture of the front and back of the check you’d like to cash, and moments later the check is added to your bank account.
4. Cards
Cards is an application to help you manage all of your bank passwords. The application secures all of your passwords with AES-256 bit encryption—which is what the NSA uses to protect its documents—and lets you access all of your accounts with a master password of your choosing. However, there is no way to retrieve the master password if you forget it. . . so don’t forget it!

These four finance apps for iPhone will surely strengthen your money managing process. Be sure to try out the applications and see if your monthly budget improves.
